This episode is stupidly long, but amazing. Many thanks to Poet for putting it all together. Brandon doesn’t come in until about 45 minutes into the show… and then the fun REALLY starts.
Seriously, this episode is hilarious. If you don’t listen to all of it, you’re an idiot.

<itunes:summary>Hey there kids. This is Billy, doing the first of a few episodes without Brandon. Some might call this episode raw. I'd tell those people that that is an understatement. I can't edit for shit. There is no intro. There is no outro. I'm doing this shit for real, yo.

The real truth, as you probably guessed, is I can't edit. At all. Brandon said it would be easy to figure out. As it happens, he was full of shit.

Now, besides all of my fail, this episode is pretty fun. We have our returning friends Nathan and Mark, and our friend Ren. She's a girl. Enjoy.</itunes:summary>

To send Brandon off, Andy returns to tell some really lame jokes. We also discuss a lot of movies; namely those of Kevin Smith, but also those exciting summer movies gracing your screens over the next few months. As one would expect, there’s also quite a bit of talk regarding Billy’s summer plans, and Brandon’s passing of the torch.

Be sure to email Billy throughout the summer; not only will he certainly appreciate questions and comments, but he’ll probably accept all of the assistance he is offered. It’ll be a long summer, but have patience and hold strong; it’ll be fun, certainly.

<itunes:summary>Another late one, sorry guys. But we're all caught up now, so we should release on schedule from here. And we're getting into the exciting summer months, so be sure to expect a lot of discussion on this year's blockbusters.

Paul, from the bowels of the metal thread, joins us this week. Billy talks shit about Wolverine for a while... a long while. Don't put off the episode just because of that, though, just skip through it (spoilers abound; skip ahead to about 42 minutes in to avoid Wolverine discussion). Paul and Brandon also discuss tea as well (because we know how much you guys love tea-talk).

Be sure to email us if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments. Also, donate if you want to support the show; anything and everything is very much appreciated.

Thanks for listening!</itunes:summary>

Watchmen, arguably the greatest graphic novel of all time, and one of the best selling novels ever, has finally become a movie. To live up to our subtitle, Retcast devotes an entire episode to quite possibly the biggest comic book movie event we will live to experience.

Friends of the show Ryan and Brian join Billy and Brandon in the discussion, with a little fanboy nitpicking, but they manage to outline some of their favourite moments in both the book and the movie. By the way, there are spoilers. If you have not seen the movie, or read the book, you have no business listening to this episode.

Please feel free to email us if you have any comments on what was said, or you have any questions or suggestions for the show in general. As some of you know, Jonix was on our second episode, which is, as quoted by him, the greatest ever. He felt bad that we peaked so early. But with his return comes a new era of awesome! Or at least we’ll let him believe so.

Many topics are covered. Yesterday, I would have very easily listed them off, but I am currently tired and somewhat intoxicated, and cannot therefore remember what exactly we talked about. But you can be certain that it’s funny. It’s longer than usual, mostly because I didn’t edit it as thoroughly as I usually do, as I wanted to get it out before the weekend so that I could start scheduling the Christmas special. This is, though, one of my favourite episodes.

Back to this episode, you’ll be happy to know that this week’s guest breaks some ground. Chipper is our first female guest. That’s right, only 2/3 of the normal amount of penis, yay!! We talk about a lot of TV… Well, Tack and Chipper talk about TV. Discussions about hating Jack and crying over the deaths of fictional characters ensue. I just sort of sit back and pretend to listen.

We also talk about the insanity that befell our friend SpartanProto. This episode was recorded an hour after the event went down. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Listen to the damn episode. Oddly enough, Proto will be on the next episode. Coincidence?

You know, there are three things in this world that we love. First, we love emails. Send us some via retcast@gmail.com, and we’ll read them on the show. We also love donations, which you can do via the PayPal on the left of the page. What’s the third thing we love?
Our guest this week, Pete, joins us to talk about some stuff, most notably his comic, 2 Percent Dead. As for other topics of conversation, I can’t really say. I didn’t listen to it, as I didn’t edit it, so your guess is as good as mine.

Our guest this week, Pete, joins us to talk about some stuff, most notably his comic, 2 Percent Dead. As for other topics of conversation, I can't really say. I didn't listen to it, as I didn't edit it, so your guess is as good as mine.

Be sure to email us your questions and comments at retcast@gmail.com, we'll probably read them on the show. Thanks for listening!</itunes:summary>

It’s been mentioned in passing in other places and other discussions, but never officially here, and I figured you guys should hear it here in full. The fans deserve an explanation of our current state of hiatus, and I’m sorry for not mentioning so earlier.

For the last couple weeks (to be honest, I couldn’t even tell you when we last recorded), we’ve been on a break. It was mutually decided between Tack and I that it was the best thing to do. I have been so behind with editing, and recording each week with episodes still pending release was just piling on work. And it’s so hard to catch up when work continues to flow in.

Unfortunately I took advantage of this break in the worst way possible. I laid back, unobligated to do anything. Without time constraints, it was as though I had no work to do. I didn’t need to do anything. I’m an idiot… I need to work harder. I’ve said it before, but I mean it this time.

You will see the two currently queued episodes by the end of the week. This week is Crusty’s birthday, and as such we will be recording with him this weekend. I don’t want to rob him of his birthday episode. I think that’s enough drive to get me to catch up.

I know I’ve said it before, and you’re probably tired of hearing it, but I’m sorry. Most of you has said that you understand, and that it’s okay, but I almost feel like we’ve failed; I’ve failed. This was supposed to be a weekly show, but I can never seem to find the time, or rather motivation, to keep up with a schedule. But I promise to get this show on track.

A huge thank you to all of you who have supported us, and keep an eye out for two pending episodes this week.

-Brandon

I’m still working on episode ten (which, to be honest, should have been out last week, but I’ve been busy with personal stuff), but it should be out tonight at somepoint. Once it is released, we are back on schedule, doing a show every week.

So, thank you for listening, and I hope you appreciate this little update.

So not only do we have our first time returning guest with Geekers, but we also have our first multi-guest episode, along with the first non-Family guests. We’re breaking all sorts of ground, kids.

However, the chaos that was expected did indeed befall our little podcast. It seems that we can’t quite sustain so much… awesome (if we really want to call it that). <itunes:summary>As seen in the post prior to this, I very much apologize for this episode being late. I won't bore you with excuses, just be glad it's finally available.

Jedi Poet, Mr. Potatohead himself joins Retcast to bring the sort of comedy only a thirty-year-old pothead could. While we find ourselves lacking in topics, we manage to fill the hour with many-a "favourites" lists. And, as expected, there is much mocking of our good friend Tack, as we celebrate his unenthusiastic shift into adulthood.

Be sure to send us some emails at retcast@gmail.com, whether they be questions or just comments. We appreciate every little bit of input, and read every single email. Also donate, by hitting the little gold button on the side. I promise you, every penny will go toward making the show better.

As always, thanks for listening.</itunes:summary>

I’m officially a week late with episode eight, and I’m not even very close to finishing at all. So I wanted to apologize. I don’t know why, but I’ve found it very tough to work. I’m going to work as hard as I can for the next few days, and release both 8 and 9 as soon as I can.

We’ll be taking a break at somepoint soon, just so I can sort of relax and catch up, but for the most part I think the show will be fine once I’m through with these episodes. But to sort of make up for the lateness and such, we have a couple clips. Our friend Data, the guest from episode six, has taken the show and cut it up to create short clips of comic genius. I hope you enjoy.

Many thanks to all of our listeners, and be sure to look out for the next two episodes in the next few days.

Data joins the team to geek out over the long awaited idol of cbm geekery everywhere. Plus, he joins Brandon in a little Sozen’s Comet chit-chat, in which they discuss the final chapter of the Avatar series.
